Haunting Grace:

Grace has escaped her marriage and old life. She was brave enough to stash money away then open an account in her name. She has now arrived in York, free. She settles in a hotel and finds a job. Unfortunately she keeps seeing the face of the man in the portrait in her room. She doesn’t understand why but it is starting to scare her. She finds out his name is Robert Hamilton who lived in the 1600s. She is even dreaming of him at night.

She is unsure of anything as the dreams seem real and time seems to blur. She starts seeing him at the pub and learned Robert once owned it. The current owner, Harry, has seen the past owner himself. Grace is scared to accept that she is being haunted by a ghost but she is strangely drawn to the story.

This book kicks off the series. It is a short read but a good one. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved Grace from the beginning. She has taken charge of her life, leaving behind an abusive situation. She is a strong woman.

She is hesitant and unsure but willing to try. She is a very realistic character that is dropped into a ghost story. She ends up in the most haunted city in Britain. The story is a fascinating start. It leaves the reader wanting more. I’m wanting to read the next book after the shock Grace receives in the end of this one. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Book #2 Blurb

Alone in a foreign city, haunted by the ghost of Robert Hamilton and confronted with a portrait of herself painted four hundred years ago, Grace Evans has every reason to doubt her sanity.

Changing Grace:

Grace is shocked to see herself in the portrait of Robert Hamilton and his wife. Harry knew it would unnerve her. She is determined to explain it away until her watch is spotted in the painting. She doesn’t understand how this can be. Harry thinks she will go back in time. Grace thinks this is ridiculous and believes she has finally lost her mind.

Robert comes to her in her dreams and Grace is scared. She needs to go see a doctor. Kate talks her into meeting with a medium instead. Grace is frustrated with the experience and stunned at the medium’s prediction. Nothing is explaining what is happening except she is having a mental breakdown. She takes the portrait of Robert down from her wall to examine it carefully. What she finds there is shocking and sets her on the path that will change her life forever.

The story continues as Grace finds out more about Robert and speculates what is happening to her. She believes she is crazy. She is leaning entirely toward a believable conclusion. I would probably react exactly as she is. It would completely freak me out if I was seeing a man that wasn’t really there. So instantly I saw her reactions were relatable and she came across as a realistic character.

I like how the author described scenes where the past and present overlapped and you could see both at the same time. It was an interesting concept. It would make it hard to believe my eyes.

I also really liked Grace. She had a tough life and you just want her to find happiness. It’s a fabulous paranormal story that takes a ghost and time travel to get her happiness. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Book #3 Blurb

Grace finds herself four hundred years in the past, in the bed of the man who has haunted her. A man she barely knows but who, with just one kiss, filled the empty space that had been her shattered heart.

Saving Grace:

Robert has saved Grace from the snow and freezing to death. She wakes up in his bed with him in the room trying to figure out who she is. She is completely stunned. She has to be dead or still asleep in the snow dreaming. Robert reassures her this is real and gets her to tell him her story.

Grace has no clue what to do. She is four hundred years in the past. She doesn’t fit into this world. Robert assures her that he will keep her safe. So Grace attempts to be a part of his world. When they go to his posting house, Grace tries to help. While she cleans a room she is threatened by a man staying at the house. Robert throws him out feeling guilty that he didn’t protect Grace. Grace is overwhelmed with everything life has thrown at her. Her abusive marriage, leaving her daughter, traveling back in time, landing and trying to fit into four hundred years in the past is almost too much.

Robert is patient and understanding. He has been dreaming about her for a while now. He welcomes her with open arms. He wants to protect her and has every intention of marrying her. He helps her come up with a plan to save her daughter four hundred years in the future. Life can definitely take quite the turn.

This is the third and last book in the series. These three short stories introduce Grace and show how she came to time travel. This whole series was about empowerment for Grace. She left an abusive situation, but was able to find love, even if she had to go back in time.

I love how the characters were open minded and accepting of each other. Robert invited her into his life knowing that she was what he wanted.

It was a great journey to watch Grace come into her own, fight her fears and truly meet the love of multiple lifetimes. This was a sweet love story with a paranormal twist. Grace ends up exactly where she is supposed to be. A great read. I give it a 4 out of 5.
