Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

Sophie is a doctor that was asked by Darius to help save a friend. After the intimate encounter with Darius, she can’t get him out of her head. It angers her that she hasn’t heard from him in two weeks. She tries to forget about him and get on with her life.

Unfortunately for Darius, he can’t get her out of his mind either. He stays away to keep her safe especially when Ulrik searches her out. Con, however, wants to know Ulrik’s plans and orders Darius to stay close to the doctor. As a result Darius and Sophie grow closer. She is drawn into a new world of Dragon kings and Fae.

Ulrik has plans for her and her life is in danger. Darius has to keep her safe but knows he must say good-bye when things are over.

I love this series. I have read several books that belong to it and love the dragon king story line. You never know what Ulrik is going to do. So much mystery and secrets surround the dragon kings and the Fae world.

I am trying to deduct what is really going on and just when I think I might have it figured out, the author throws in something different. It pulls you in even deeper into the story. I love the characters. The dragon kings are protectors of humans and Darius is one of them. His past devastation left him empty knowing he lost everything. He isn’t open at all to Sophie being more to him than he thinks.

Sophie has also been hurt and has closed herself off to the world. So the author has spun a great love story that pulls both of them back into the living world. I liked reading how they heal each other’s heart. They seem made for each other.

I also like Rhi and the Reapers. The mystery that surrounds them both is intriguing. I can’t decide what I want to happen. There are just too many possibilities. I can’t wait for the next one. I can’t wait for the next one. I give this one a 4 out of 5.
