Review: Unstoppable (The Nature of Grace #3) by S.R. Johannes

Book Blurb

After everything that has happened, Grace moves to the Everglades to live with her grandmother, Birdee, and hang out with old man Rex, Birdee's "friend with benefits". Grace quickly befriends Dylan, Rex's nephew, and Dylan's girlfriend, Sadie, who is a die-hard teen activist. Sadie spends her time leading protests against the roadside zoos that run rampant in Florida with a total disregard for animals or the flimsy law.

One day while out in the marshes of the Everglades, Grace and her friends rescue an abused—and endangered—Florida panther. She and Birdee spend time rehabilitating the animal. But when the panther runs off, Grace follows it to Uncle Bob's, a large roadside zoo they all have been protesting. One that is illegally filled with a variety of endangered and exotic animals. Before she can rescue the panther, she and her friends are kidnapped by the ruthless owner and dragged deep into the Everglades for a hunting challenge.

Only this time, Grace is the prey.

During a sick game of cat and mouse, Grace and her friends are offered one chance at survival, but only if they reach civilization before being caught. With a small head start and very little supplies, only time and skill stand between the hunter and the hunted. But out in the Everglades, there may be more dangers than Grace realizes.

Against all odds, Grace must make it out alive and win, or everything she holds dear could be lost.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

In this final Nature of Grace book, Grace is living with her grandmother while her mother sells their house.  Her mom decided they needed a fresh start and moving was the solution.  Plus Grace’s safety is questionable.  So Grace may never see her childhood home again and she misses Mo.
She meets Sadie who is on a mission to close down roadside zoos.  Grace likes her instantly and Dylan is obviously in love with her.  They become friends quickly.  They end up saving a Florida panther from that roadside zoo.  However Bob, the owner, gets his revenge.  Grace, Dylan and Sadie end up running for their lives in the Everglades.  Grace has to rely on the knowledge her father taught her as she encounters the danger of the swamps and the men chasing her and her friends.
Her fear almost is overwhelming but her strength and courage has to get her through and save her friends.
This is the end of Grace’s story.  It was a crazy ride.  That poor girl walked into so much danger just trying to save animals.  I felt sorry for her.  She lost her dad and now lost her childhood home.  Sent to live with her grandmother and not getting to see Mo.  She is scared and lonely.
Her love for animals gets her in another situation.  There are some sick people in her world.  I could not believe how the storyline evolved.  It was surprising.  Those men, the author created, were crazy.  The situations that Grace finds herself are full of suspense.  I find her brave and a strong character.  I really like her compassion and the battle she fights.  She is a great heroine.

I also like her relationship with Mo.  They have been together from the beginning.  Love them together.  It was a great ending to a fabulous series.  I give this book a 4 out of 5.
