Review: The Player and the Pixie (Rugby #2) by L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid

The Player and the Pixie by L.H. Cosway
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What do you get when you mash up free-spirited, rainbow-haired, recovering clepto and the second most wanted rugby player who samples his one night stands bath products? Why, you get The Player and the Pixie by L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid!

Yep you heard right, LOL!!! The Player and the Pixie is the second book in this dynamic writing duo’s Rugby series and definitely can be read as a standalone but will make waaaaayyyyy more sense if you read the first book first, The Hooker and the Hermit. Seeing as how the main heroine, Lucy is the sister of the hero in the first book, Ronan and the hero in this book is his rival……(head spinning yet?). Alright, now that that’s cleared up, let’s move on.

I was asked to not spoil much so, I won’t. Read the excerpt and blurb and you'll get it. Just know that these two authors know how to bring colorful characters to light and grab you from the get-go. It’s a raucous ride with romance abounding. Your hero is not the typical alpha macho type but a misunderstood “player” who has a thing for warm beds warmed by any woman, using their bath products in the morning and is not happy being #2. Our heroine has her own issues but is a riot of colors, mixed with insecurities, finding her freedom and blossoming into a force to be reckoned with.

When the two collide, it’s a story worthy of an up all night read. Trust me, you’re gonna fall in love with this book and with the characters. 4 stars!!!
