Review: Royally Bad (Bad Boy Royals #1) by Nora Flite

Book Blurb

Getting close to an arrogant bad boy like him is dangerous. Too bad it’s her only choice.

Kain Badd looks great on paper: rich, handsome, and he’s even a prince. But after spending a few minutes together, Sammy sees the real him—arrogant, possessive, and too hot for his own good. If she hadn’t agreed to help plan his sister’s wedding, she could have avoided him. Instead, she’s waking up in his bed after an unforgettable night she definitely wants to forget. But he won’t let her.

When Sammy thinks her life can’t get any crazier, the wedding is raided by the police, and she spends her first-ever night in jail. The irresistible Kain isn’t just bad in name—his family is connected to a dangerous underworld. Now she’s mixed up in a power struggle between his family’s empire and their rivals. She has no choice but to put herself back in this filthy prince’s extremely capable hands.

Sammy must trust Kain to keep her safe. She’s just not sure she can trust herself to resist temptation.

Toot's Review by Stacy Sabala

Sammy gets pulled into a crazy world when she sells an unfinished wedding dress to Francesca Badd.  She makes a lot of money on the sale that forces her to rush its completion.  She also comes face to face with Francesca’s brother, Kain Badd.  He is trouble and she wants nothing to do with him.
When Sammy shows up to the dress fitting she gets roped into helping with the engagement dinner that night.  She also gives in to the temptation named Kain.  The next morning she is blind-sided by Francesca who needs a maid-of-honor.  It looks like Sammy is now a part of the wedding party.  Unfortunately the wedding never finishes as it is raided by the police.  Sammy is handcuffed and hauled to jail.  She is completely shocked.
The cops warn her about the Badds being trouble and doesn’t she know it.  She is ready to leave them behind and never look back.  Kain, however, isn’t so sure he is ready to let her go yet.  So he is determined to subtly keep an eye on her which turns out to be a good idea when she is attacked.  He takes her to his home to be safe.
The Badds vow to protect her against their enemies.  Yet more is going on than anyone knows.  Shocking secrets are revealed as Kain and Sammy grow closer and the mystery is uncovered.
This book is pretty good.  I liked Sammy.  She was smart and independent.  She also has a good heart which get her into trouble she never dreamed of.  I love how the author begins the book with the wedding scene, then backs up and explains what happened to lead to this point.  I could just picture it as it happens.  The shock and mortification Sammy feels is almost tangible.  I could see her brain sputter as she tried to understand what was going on.
Then Kain is so arrogant that you like seeing him get arrested.  When she gets under his skin and he starts falling, it’s fun to watch.  He is such a jerk and acts untouchable in the beginning.  I liked watching her take him down several pegs.  Of course when he fell it was hard.

This book was full of suspense and family drama.  Sammy can’t believe what is happening and fights against the restraints placed around her.  I liked her fighting and refusing to give up.  She was an excellent character even if she was a bit younger.  The Badds were a crazy, almost mafia-type, family.  There is a lot of money, power and drama present throughout this story.  It was a fun read.  I can’t wait to read the next story.  I give this one a 4 out of 5.
